Walter Hager

Walter Hager, age 85, of Guttenberg, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at his home following a sudden illness. Walter was born January 17, 1929, in Pirmasens, Germany. For many years he was a master electrician in the Chicago area. On September 21, 1981 he was united in marriage with Ardythe Strader at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Guttenberg. Walter enjoyed traveling and was a member and past president of the Harlem Maennerchor in Forrest Park, Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Ardythe; brother-in-law, Clark (Mickie) Strader, niece, Megan Strader; nephews, Eric (Dawn) Strader, Todd (Stephanie) Strader, Scott (Joelle) Strader, and Dieter Glckner; eight great-nieces and nephews; and many friends.
