Valeria H. Koelker

DYERSVILLE, IOWA

Valeria H. Koelker, 106, of Dyersville, Iowa, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026, at MercyOne Senior Care in Dyersville.

Valeria graciously donated her body to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program. There will be no services at this time.

Valeria was born on May 29, 1920, in Petersburg, Iowa, daughter of Clem and Isabelle (Wessels) Engelken. She married Bernard Koelker.

She had attended and volunteered at the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier for many years. There wasn’t much she hadn’t done or couldn’t do. Val was known for her sense of style and her delicious pies.

Mother to Bette, Sharon, Gene, and Ron, and loved by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
