MONTICELLO, IOWA Ronald E. McCarthy, 51, of Monticello, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2019, at Kramer Funeral Home, Monticello. A private burial service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery. Ron was born August 9, 1968, in Monticello , the son of Donald and Sandra (Starks) McCarthy. He loved hunting, trap shooting, playing cards and hanging out with his friends. Survivors include his mother Sandra McCarthy of Monticello, siblings: Don (Pam) McCarthy of Monticello, Chris (Tully) Reilly of Manchester, Jason (Debbie) McCarthy of Olathe, KS, nieces and nephews: Morgan (Spencer) Owen of Lisbon, Tyler (Ashley) McCarthy, Courtney (Carter) Balentine both of Anamosa, Kyle, Brent and Logan Reilly of Manchester. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Loras and Isabella McCarthy, Robert and Kathleen Starks, and his father Donald McCarthy.
