Paul N. Talsma, resident of Guttenberg, Iowa peacefully passed on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Paul entered this world on Easter Sunday, April 13, 1941, surrounded by love with little to no fanfare. He chose to depart this world in the same manner. He had a love of nature, sailing, music and family. Adventurous at heart, he spent his early years in the Army exploring Alaska & continued traveling extensively throughout his lifetime. He is now on his final journey.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joni; his daughter, April; son-in-law, Michael; sisters: Faye, Anna and their families.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church located at 203 Pearl St, Guttenberg, IA 52052. Funeral service will commence at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lutheran World Relief in Paul’s name.
