Nancy I. Stickfort, 65, of Garnavillo, Iowa passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at her home.

A private family burial will be held at Moody Cemetery near McGregor, Iowa

Nancy was born on June 22, 1960, in Guttenberg, Iowa, daughter of Ronald and Ardell (Pufahl) Priebe

She found beauty in life's simple blessings and shared that joy with everyone around her. She loved gardening and took great pride in cultivating vibrant flowers that brought color and warmth to her home. She would often decorate the garden or her house with fairies or mermaids. Many peaceful hours were spent watching the birds gather at her feeders, a pastime that reflected her gentle and caring spirit.

She also enjoyed watching movies and treasured the special movie days she shared with her grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Family was the heart of her life. She delighted in hosting family gatherings and looked forward each year to celebrating Thanksgiving surrounded by those she loved most. Above all else, she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Their laughter, accomplishments, and love brought her immense joy and were among life's greatest blessings. The memories she created with her family will remain a lasting source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her two daughters: Heather (Corey) Shaw, Leah (Brad) Crary; her only son, Evan (Angela) Ventris; grandson, Andrew Shaw, and granddaughter, Isabella Crary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Ronald and Ardell (Pufahl) Priebe.

Memorials may be donated to Garnavillo Historical Society or any Humane Society, Animal Shelter, or Animal Sanctuary closest to you.
