Mary Renken

Mary was born May 14, 1922 in Monticello, Iowa the daughter of Seymour and Ruth (Anderson) Clark. On September 11, 1946 she was united in marriage to Lewie J. Renken. Together they farmed in Wayne Township until Lewie preceded Mary in death on October 31, 1992. Mary was very involved in oil painting and continued to paint until shortly before her death. Mary is survived by a daughter, Lois Irene Perin of Cincinnati, Ohio, a son, Louis Shaun Renken of Monticello and a sister, Ruth Rowe of Deer River, Minn, 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey Cross, Joshua Mason and Maria Gomez and 2 step-grandchildren, Anthony and Jenaya Mason, 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewie J. Renken, on Oct. 31, 1992, a son, Jacob Cross in 2005, her parents, 5 brothers: Louis, Seymour, John, Roy and Vernon and 3 sisters: Ada, Clara and Violet a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law.
