MONTICELLO, IOWA Mary Jane (Janey) Freese, 90, of Monticello, Iowa died Friday, December 5, 2014, at the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an illness. Friends may call from 3:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, December 8, 2014, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello, where a parish scripture service will be held at 3:00 PM. Friends may continue to call after 9:30 Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello, Iowa with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Father Paul Baldwin will be officiating. Mary Jane was born April 1, 1924, in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Clare and Margaret (Buol) Aitchison. On July 30, 1950, she married Louis Tobe Freese in Monticello, Iowa. Mary Jane graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1941. She attended Northwest Institute of Medical Technology at Minneapolis, Minnesota. She worked as a lab technician in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Evanston, Illinois and returned to Monticello to work at John McDonald Hospital. She dedicated her life to her family and church activities. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Study Club. Mary Jane was an avid bridge player and loved to travel. She enjoyed following her children and grandchildren's various activities. Mary Jane was a loyal fan of the St Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Lakers and Iowa Hawkeyes. Survivors include her 4 children: Aimee (Steve) Wilson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Janet (Glen) Dallman of Bradenton, Florida, Brad (Dana) Freese of Monticello, Iowa, and Valerie (Terrance) Mennen of Birmingham, Alabama; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, a sister, Lorraine Husmann of Clinton, Iowa, and a sister-in-law, Ann Aitchison of Monticello, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, William Aitchison.
