Mary Bierl

Mary was born on December 2, 1903 in Templeton, Iowa, the daughter of John and Gertrude (Fox) Horbach. Mary and her husband owned and operated the Gamble Hardware and Furniture Store in Dyersville. She moved to Venice in 1965 where is made her home until her death. She was a member of the Epiphany Cathedral in Venice. She is survived by two daughters: Dorothy Hittenmiller of Venice Florida and Delhi, Iowa and Norma Maiers of San Antonio, Texas. 13 Grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Two great great grandchildren. Two sisters: Sister Mary Joyce of Dubuque, Iowa and Rita Rupiper of Carroll, Iowa, and one brother William Horbach of Templeton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1978, three brothers: Nick, Jack and Joe.
