Marvin Mcbeain

Marvin Russell McBeain, age 85, of Guttenberg, IA, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the Guttenberg Care Center. He was born the son of Alex and Clara (Nelson) McBeain on August 30, 1926 in Edsel North Dakota. For many years Marvin worked for Nordic Forge and for Peterson Construction. He later moved to Arizona where he worked for Leisure Homes until moving back to Iowa. Marvin Proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Paratrooper division. Marvin was a skilled woodworker and story teller. He truly loved his life on the island spending time fishing and visiting with family and friends. Marvin is survived by his wife Rita; three children, Douglas (Tabitha) McBeain of North Platte, Neb, Debbi (Kevin) Shaw of Pulaski, Tenn., Sherrie (Ralph) Seago of Eagle CO; 9 grandchildren, Jeremy (Cheryl), Joseph (Angel), Joshua (Angela), Tyler McBeain, Corey (Heather), Kari and Casey Shaw, Ralph Jr. Eric (Lisa) Seago; 16 great grandchildren; sister Doretta Smith of Connel, WA; sister in law Darlene McBeain and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Duane and Steven; one sister and four brothers.There will be a celebration of life for Marvin next Father's Day Weekend 2012.
