GUTTENBERG, IOWA

Marse Villa, 62, of Guttenberg, Iowa, passed away on September 12, 2026. Born on April 21, 1964, in Oxnard, California, Marse was the beloved son of Marcelino E. Villa and Norma C. Muohett.

Marse was blessed to experience great love twice in his lifetime. He married his first love, Melody Villa, and together they shared more than 20 years of marriage before her passing in 2014. In time, Marse found companionship again with Samone Villa, with whom he shared over five years of marriage until her passing in 2022.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Marse built a long and meaningful career with Lumber Specialties, retiring after more than 20 years of service. Outside of work, he was known for his deep passion for music. An exceptionally skilled drummer, Marse found joy, expression, and connection through rhythm.

Marse will be remembered for his gentle heart and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. His presence left a lasting impact on family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his mother, Norma Muohett; his sister, Irma Villa Garcia; his brothers David (Doris) Villa, Raul (Jackie) Villa, Hernan Villa, and Manuel (Kristi) Alvarado; along with many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Marcelino E. Villa, and his wives Melody Villa and Samone Villa.

A graveside funeral service will be held on September 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Guttenberg City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
