Lynne A. Engler

WORTHINGTON, IOWA

Lynne A. Engler, 71, of Worthington, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at NorthBrook Manor in Cedar Rapids with family members by her side.

Visitation will be held 9 – 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Worthington, Iowa.

Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Georges Midiangu will officiate.

Lynne was born on February 23, 1955, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Chuck and Ione (Oberfoell) Engler. Lynne made her home in Worthington, Iowa. She worked as the librarian, bartender and assisted with catering at the hall. She was a wonderful caregiver to her parents and family was very important to her. She loved playing cards, bingo, jigsaw puzzles and crocheting. She was very knowledgeable and loved answering all the trivia questions from game shows on tv. She was a fantastic baker and was well known for her cut-out cookies and pies. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her siblings: Connie (Terry) Bethel, Tom (Mavis) Engler, Bill (Judy) Engler, Mary (Chuck) Freese, Julie (Marc) Kuker, Sue (Mike) Dreismeier, Ann Engler, Steve (Sarah) Engler and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
