Lucita Schockemoehl

Lucita M. Schockemoehl, 97, of Dyersville, Iowa died Monday, December 1, 2014 at Oak Crest Manor, Dyersville, Iowa. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville where a parish vigil service will be held at 4. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Jeffrey Dole will officiate. Lucita was born February 11, 1917 in Ackley, Iowa the daughter of Frank and Mollie (Esser) Kachelhoffer. She married Howard Schockemoehl on June 29, 1939, in Ackley, Iowa. Lucita was a nurse at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. She was an avid golfer and later in life enjoyed traveling and playing cards. Survivors include her children: John "Jack" (Joyce Dixon) Schockemoehl of Richmond, VA, Susan (Terence) Williams of Beaver Dam, WI, 3 grandchildren: Molly Shepard, Jennifer Schockemoehl and Cary Schockemoehl (Edward Davis), 2 great grandsons: Benjamin Davis and Cassidy Shepard and grand goddaughter, Zen Rushiti. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard in 1980, siblings, Frances Johnson and brothers-in-law, Louis and James Schockemoehl.
