Lorna Kay Moser

GARNAVILLO, IOWA

Lorna Kay Moser, 77, of Bernalillo, New Mexico, passed away at her home on September 16, 2026. 

Lorna was born on January 11, 1949, to Leonard and Malinda (Heidersheit) Maiers. For many years her parents worked side by side at the Kist Bottling Company in Garnavillo all while making a home for Lorna, and her siblings: Larry and Leann. Lorna received her education locally and entered the workforce. Lorna married William ‘Bill’ Moser, and two children were born from this union, Dawn and William. Lorna re-located to New Mexico where she enjoyed the warmth and painting. She spent her remaining years with Curt Ulrich until his passing. 

Lorna is survived by her children Dawn (Roger) Bockenstedt and William (Darcy) Moser; her grandchildren: Megan (Derrick) Livingston, Kelsey Bockenstedt, William (Eva) Moser, Taylor Moser, and Drake Moser; her great-grandchildren Bennett, Brynnlie, Estelle and Evelynn; her siblings: Larry Maiers, and Leann (Ron) Bries. She was very fond of her friends and neighbors in New Mexico. 

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

A private graveside service will be held on Sunday November 1, 2026, at noon at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, in Garnavillo, Iowa.
