Linus Luensmann

Survivors include his wife, Helen, 3 sons: Richard (Cindy) of Dubuque, Michael of Epworth, and Ken (Deb) of Holy Cross, one daughter, Katherine (Michael) Clancy of Epworth, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, one brother, John (Esther) Luensmann of Worthington, a sister, RoseAnn (Howard) Werner of Worthington and a sister-in-law, Betty Luensmann of Manchester. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Elmer, Billy (in infancy), Alfred and Robert Luensmann and 2 sisters: Frances Luensmann and Marie Ernzen. Linus was born on May 10, 1920 in Hopkinton, Iowa, the son of Henry and Eleanor (Freking) Luensmann. He married Helen E. Werner on August 31, 1954 in Worthington, Iowa. Together they farmed in rural Bankston retiring in 2000. Linus enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, socializing and a good cigar.
