Irene Hostert

Survivors are her husband, Andrew, of Shady Rest Care Center, 2 daughters: Judy (Dan) Dolan of Waterloo, IA and Mary Jo (Joe) Zaksas of Sarasota, FL; 1 son, Dave Hostert of Worthington, IA, 4 grandchildren: Lora (Shane) Sonberg, Steve Dolan, Kristy Dolan and Joe Dolan; a great granddaughter, Sierra Sonberg, a brother, Don (Mickey) Burlage of Worthington and a sister-in-law Dorothy Burlage of Dyersville. Irene was preceded in death by three brothers: Elmer, Lester and Lawrence (Frances) Burlage; 4 sisters: Ida (Laverne) Engler, Lucille (Emil) White, Florence and Mildred Burlage and a sister-in-law, Victoria Hostert. Together they farmed East of Worthington, Iowa. Irene was a Charter Member of the Dubuque Co. Cattlewomen's Assoc. and a member of the St. Paul Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed playing cards and was known for her good sense of humor.
