Helen Bolsinger

Helen Mae Bolsinger, age 83, of Colesburg, IA, died Thursday, November 27, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 29, 1931 in North Buena Vista to George and Francis Spielbauer. Helen attended and graduated from St. Marys Catholic Church in Guttenberg. On January 2, 1954, Helen was united in marriage with Donald E. Bolsinger at St. Marys Catholic Church in Guttenberg. For many years, Helen made a home for her husband and many children which was a full time job but she was also a very stronger supporter of the Military. She was a member of the New Vienna VFW Auxiliary, AMVETS Auxiliary and she was a member of the Colesburg Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years. Helen was also a lifetime member of the Royal Neighbors of America. Helen is survived by her 8 children, Terry (Cindy) Bolsinger, Ed (Connie) Bolsinger, Ron (Sue) Bolsinger, Lyle Bolsinger, Joe Bolsinger, Mary (Dwight) McCormick, Elizabeth (Dan) Kelly and Dale (Laura Engelken) Bolsinger; 26 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 10 siblings, Joseph Spielbauer, Arnold (Lorie) Spielbauer, Frank (Jackie) Spielbauer, Hilda (Dick) Brooks, Lawrence (Ellie) Spielbauer, Cecilia Steger, Dan (Georgia) Spielbauer, Jim (Dorcas) Spielbauer, Tom (Ginger) Spielbauer, Dave Spielbauer and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, John Bolsinger; three sisters, Kathleen Eilers, Rose Schultz, Mary in infancy; one brother, John Spielbauer.Following the Interment, there will be a time of food and fellowship at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Colesburg, Iowa.Click here to view a Video Tribute for Helen BolsingerVisitation: Tuesday 2:00 - 8:00 P.M.
