Harold J. White, 81, of Manchester, Iowa and formerly of Monticello, Iowa passed away Saturday, October 31, 2026, at his home in Manchester.

Harold was born on December 13, 1944, in Monticello, Iowa, son of Richard and Lucille (Dietiker) White. He married Carolyn Williams-White and they later divorced. To this union, two children were born, John and Lisa.

Harold proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War, a chapter of his life that reflected his dedication and commitment to others. He enjoyed working with people and spent several fulfilling years employed at Camp Courageous, where he found joy in helping others and being part of the community.

In his free time, Harold especially enjoyed being outdoors, taking pride in maintaining his yard and tending to his garden. He appreciated the simple pleasures of working outside and keeping things looking their best. His service, kindness, and enjoyment of life's everyday moments will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him.

Harold is survived by his daughter, Lisa White of Manchester; grandchildren: Matthew White, Mikayla White, Michael White, Alexander (Alexia Chapman) White, Anastasia White; one great-grandchild, Xander White; siblings: Larry Klima and Janet (Bob) Melchert; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Leo Klima; son, John White; and a brother and sister-in-law, James (Sharon) White.
