Harlan Tackman

Harlan William Tackman, age 92, of Guttenberg, IA, died Monday, October 28, 2013, at the Guttenberg Care Center. He was born on April 3, 1921, in Clayton Iowa to Louis and Margaret (Meenan) Tackman. Harlan received his education from the local country school and farmed for most of his life in rural Guttenberg. He was a man of the outdoors whether it was farming, hunting, fishing or just spending time outdoors in the timber with nature. These were the things that meant most to Harlan. Harlan is survived by his sister Arlene Tackman of Guttenberg; nephews, Brian (Julie) Doeppke & family and Ron Doeppke & family and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother in law, Iona (Paul) Doeppke and one nephew, Larry Doeppke.Visitation: Thursday 9:00 - 11:00 A.M.
