Eugene Tobin

Ede was born April 1, 1922 in Worthington, Iowa the son of John Tobin and Elizabeth Jurgens. He married Dorothy Mae Ostwinkle June 6, 1949 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Worthington, Iowa. Ede was a welder and was employed byJack Light and later worked for the Dubuque County Hwy Dept. He retired from Dubuque County in 1987. He was also a retired member of the Worthington Fire Dept. after 31 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy "Dottie". 2 sons; Ken (Karen) Tobin and Dave (Deanne) Tobin and a daughter Linda Tobin, all of Worthington, IA. 7 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren and two sister in laws Del Rose Ostwinkle of Worthington IA. And Mary Ostwinkle of Epworth IA. Ede was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Vincent, George and Alfred Tobin and 3 sisters; Maggie Lehnhoff, Mae Zoller and Toots Krogman. Parish Scripture Service will be recited at 3:00 p.m. and the Worthington Fire Dept will meet in a body at 6:00 p.m.
