Ethel A. Hosch

MONTICELLO, IOWA

Ethel A. Hosch, 90, of Monticello, Iowa, passed away Friday, November 6, 2026, surrounded by her family at Monticello Nursing and Rehab Center.

Visitation will be held 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello, Iowa. Funeral Services will commence at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Steve Garner will officiate.

Ethel was born on March 13, 1936, in Iowa, daughter of Reynold and Erma (Gudenkauf) Becker. She married Kenneth Hosch in 1955. Together they built a beautiful life, created a loving family, and gave us memories we will cherish forever.

Survivors include her children: David (Michelle) Hosch of Hopkinton, Deann Turner of Cedar Rapids, Dale (Sheila) Hosch of Hopkinton; grandchildren: Kaylynn (Shane) Yarolem, Kenny (Taylor) Hosch, Kole Hosch, Sydney, Alexa, and Ava Turner, Dan (Stephanie) Hosch, Erin (Trent) Kuhn; great grandchildren: Everett Yarolem, Drew, Luke and Colin Hosch, Josie Kuhn, Scarlet Driscol and one on the way; siblings: Janet Marbach and Virginia (Bill) Uhlenkamp; in-laws: Helen Becker and Kay Becker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 2019, parents; siblings: Reynold (Erma), Vernon (Mae), Kenny Becker, Therese Melchert, Gib Becker, in-laws: Vernon Melchert and Ray Marbach.

The family would like to thank Above and Beyond Hospice and Monticello Nursing & Rehab for their compassionate care of Ethel over the last several months. May the Lord bless you abundantly with joy, peace and love.
