Elaine M. Weber, 85, of Dyersville, Iowa, passed away Friday, July 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at MercyOne Senior Care in Dyersville.
Visitation will be held 4 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Kramer-Morris Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa. Visitation will continue from 9 – 10 a.m. at the funeral home prior to funeral services.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Paulraj Sellam will officiate.
Elaine was born on April 12, 1941, in Monticello, Iowa, daughter of Joseph and Mae (Slauson) Gudenkauf. She married Joseph Weber on May 26, 1962, in Worthington, Iowa. Together they farmed near Dyersville for 30 years until retiring in Dyersville in 1994.
Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who found her greatest joy in family. A proud farmer’s wife, tending her gardens, gathering loved ones around the table for meals, and spending time with her many friends, including her cherished Red Hat Club.
She was endlessly proud of her children and grandchildren, and never missed an opportunity to brag about their accomplishments. Her kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering love for family touched countless lives and leave a legacy that will be remembered for generations.
Survivors include her 4 children: Deanne (Paul) Gieser of St. Paul, MN, Cathy Long of Cedar, IA, Philip (Janet) Weber of Norwalk, IA and Patrick Weber of Minneapolis, MN; 4 grandchildren: Sydney and Jake Long, Rachel (Zac) Ross and Morgan Weber; 1 great-granddaughter: Willow Ross; siblings: Ronald (Alice) Gudenkauf and Arden (Jane) Gudenkauf; in-laws: Mary Jane Gudenkauf, Kay (Bill) Recker, Lois Bries and Gerald (Jan) Weber.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; siblings: Robert Gudenkauf and Marion (Leroy) Hildebrand; in-laws: Arthur (Joan) Weber and Kenneth Bries.
The family would like to thank the loving staff at Dyersville Senior Care and Hospice of Dubuque.
