Donald Stewart

Donald W. Stewart was born the son of Donald and Crena (Sarchett) Stewart, December 15, 1924, in Wick, Iowa. He died Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at his home in Mesa, Arizona. Don served his country in the United States Army during World War II; farmed and was chief financial officer, at Farmers Mutual of Garnavillo, for many years. He enjoyed bowling golfing, fishing, snow mobiling and cards. Survivors include his wife Edith Stewart of Mesa; one daughter, Lisa (Fianc Ron Shea) McDowell of Elkader; one son, D. Scott (Kathy) Stewart of Farmersburg; four grandchildren; Keshia, Cameron and Kallie McDowell and Amanda Stewart; two brothers; Jerry (Anna Mae) Stewart of Panora Iowa and Duane "Cookie" (June) Stewart of Hereford Texas; three step-daughters, Vicki, Sharon, and Betty and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Mary; one brother Delbert Dale in infancy; one sister, Rose Ellen in infancy; two half brothers, Virgil and Austin Beck.Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M.
