David Michael Turner, 72, of Holy Cross, Iowa, passed away on August 25, 2026, at home surrounded by family. He was born on April 6, 1954, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Elmer and Shirley Turner.

David’s favorite past times were hunting, fishing, spending time with his children, and hanging out with his best friend, Roger Lowell. He loved picking on his favorite cousin, the Princess. His favorite quote was, “patience and practice.”

David is survived by his three children, Michelle Elsbury, Michael (Courtney) Turner, and Mitchell Turner; two grandchildren, Eli and Evelyn Elsbury; siblings, Dan Turner, Deb (Ken) Kuensmann, Peggy Edge, Anne (Linda) Shelton, Pam (Dennis) Ludvik; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, James Turner, Steve Turner, and Larry Turner; and 3 nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
