GUTTENBERG, IOWA

Daniel “Dan” Francis Kelly 61, of Guttenberg, Iowa, was promoted into heaven, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was born on May 29, 1965, in Prairie Due Chein, the son of James Kelly and Kathy Cauffman.

Dan attended PDC High School and was a 1984 graduate. On May 20, 1995, Dan was united in marriage to Beth (Bolsinger) Kelly in Guttenberg, Iowa. Three sons were born to this union, Brandon, Johnathan, and Nathan. The family resided in Guttenberg. Dan Worked for All American Homes out of Dyersville.

Dan enjoyed Watching Westerns, watching and talking about Monster Trucks and WWE. He was such a happy-go-lucky person, but the only thing that bothered him was his health going downhill and keeping him from spending extra time with his family. He especially cherished spending time with his grandchild, Connor. He was his whole world. He was very excited with the news of his youngest son, Nathan, expecting his first son, Nash, who was born on August 19, 2026.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Kelly; three sons: Brandon of Patch Grove, WI, Jonathan, and Nathan of Guttenberg; two grandsons: Conner and Nash Kelly; mother, Kathy Cauffman; sisters: Beth (Bob) Saddler, Candy (Paul) Shaw; brother, Jesse (Cassey) Cauffman; aunt; Pam Hill of Prairie Du Chien; sister-in-law, Mary (Mac) Maccormic; brothers-in-law, Dale Bolsinger, Joe Bolsinger, Ron (Sue) Bolsinger, Ed (Connie) Bolsinger, of Colesberg Terry (Cindy) Bolsinger, Farley Ia, Lyle Bolsinger, of Mn; Along with many Nieces and Nephews.

Dan was preceded in death by his biological father, James Kelly and his stepfather, Lester Cauffman who was a constant presence in his life; in-laws: Don (Helen) Bolsinger; grandparents, Jesse (Hellen) Hill; and a nephew, Zebulin Weidenbach.

Visitation will be held at Morris Funeral Home Guttenberg, Iowa on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 12 - 3 p.m. A lunch will be held at the rural Bridgeport Fire Dept in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, immediately following the visitation. In lieu of flowers the family kindly request memorial contributions to assist with funeral and service expenses.

Thank you to everyone who touched his life and made his journey brighter. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
