Christine Cherne

Christine (Leliefeld) Cherne, age 46, of Guttenberg, IA, died Friday, September 21, 2012, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. She was born on May 1, 1966, in Guttenberg, the daughter of Allen and Shirley (Hinzman) Leliefeld. Chris grew up in the Guttenberg area and graduated from the Guttenberg High School in 1984. She later married and became the mother of three wonderful children, Truman, Sophie and Charlie. Those children became her entire life. Making a home and caring for them became her full time job and there wasnt anything she wouldnt do for her children. Her children are a part of her that will live on for years and years to come and undoubtedly was her greatest accomplishment in life. Chris is survived by her three children, Truman, Sophie, Charlie and their father Pat Cherne; parents, Allen and Shirley Leliefeld; sister Sandy (Jeff) Ashline and several other relatives and friends.In Lieu of flowers memorials are preferred and may be sent to St. Marys Catholic School, 510 S 2nd St. Guttenberg IA 52052.Visitation: Monday 4:00 - 7:00 P.M.
