DYERSVILLE, IOWA Calista L. Devine, 98, of Manchester, IA and formerly of Dyersville, IA died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Good Neighbor Home, Manchester, Iowa. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa where a parish scripture service will be held at 3 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 19, 2010 at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Gross. Survivors include two sons: Don of NY, NY and Earl of Des Moines, IA, 2 grandchildren: Ryan Devine of Iowa City, and Bradley Devine of Phoenix, AZ, two great grandchildren, Drew & Graham Devine. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert, 4 brothers: Nathan, Alphonse, Edmond and Ambrose Maiers, 4 sisters: Marcella Goedken, Eleanor Gaul, Anastasia Helle and Malinda Wiskus. Calista was born on March 18, 1912 in Luxemburg, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary (Pasker) Maiers. She was a homemaker all her life raising her family in Dyersville.
