Ardella M. Steffen

NEW VIENNA, IOWA

Ardella M. Steffen, 98, of New Vienna, Iowa, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026, at MercyOne Senior Care in Dyersville, Iowa.

Visitation will be held 8 – 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Vienna, Iowa.

Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery in New Vienna, Iowa. Rev. Hung Le will officiate.

Ardella was born on September 2, 1927, in Farley, Iowa, daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth (Nadermann) Steffen.

Ardella was a faith filled woman who cared for all those she met. She enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, and cooking for all her friends and neighbors. She enjoyed good conversation on her porch with those in New Vienna.

Survivors include nieces and nephews; and several neighbors and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Loretta (Victor) Weyer, Calista, Fred, Alphonse, Leo (Helen) and Ambrose Steffen.
