MONTICELLO, IOWA
Angela “Angie” Marie (Liggett) Provencher joined the angels in Heaven on August 1, 2026.Angie was born on June 14, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She married the love of her life, Ronald M. Provencher of Sanford, Maine, on October 29, 1991, in Boise, Idaho. The family relocated to Monticello, Iowa, in 1995.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Ron; her daughter Jo (Brian) Barnhart; her son, Kyle (Stephanie) Provencher; a bonus son, Brandon (Elizabeth) Finzel; and the lights of her life, Echo (Joseph Stoll) Provencher, Madison Barnhart, and Riley Provencher. She is also survived by her loving and devoted brother, William M. Liggett III, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond, along with many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, William M. Liggett Jr.; her mother, JoAnn Liggett (Paca); and her brother, Thomas L. Liggett.
Angie never met a stranger. She loved people regardless of their background or circumstances and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome. Her home was always open. No one ever left hungry, and no one ever left wondering if they were loved. Her love was contagious. When Angie loved you, you knew it -and you were getting one of the warmest hugs whether you wanted it or not.
She was the foundation of her family and the person everyone could count on, with a kindness that quietly changed lives. She treasured every moment spent with family and friends and had a special place in her heart for every animal that needed love.
The world is a little less warm without Angie in it, but her love continues to live on through her family, her friends, and every life she touched. She will be forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
