MONTICELLO, IOWA

Aiden T. Grant, 15, of Monticello, Iowa passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at University of Iowa Hospital. As an organ donor, Aiden will live on through the life of others.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Kramer-Morris Funeral Home in Monticello, Iowa where a parish vigil service will begin at 2 p.m. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial following in the Oakwood cemetery. Rev. Isaac Boadu will officiate.

Aiden was born on January 11, 2010, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of Thomas and Theresa (Osterkamp) Grant.

Aiden was a very kind, loving, and talented young man. He enjoyed spending time laughing with his friends and family. He was a joyous and loving brother to his sisters, always showing his big heart toward them while never missing a chance to tease them. Known as the class clown, he always had jokes and laughter to share with all. Aiden was a gifted athlete who excelled in baseball, football, track, and bowling. From a young age, he had a true passion for sports and loved every opportunity to play. He also loved music and thrived as a member of the band and jazz band. He taught himself how to play several different instruments, including guitar, trombone, piano, and difficult guitar riffs. The joy and happiness Aiden brought to those around him will be missed and cherished by all those who knew him.

Survivors include his father, Tom; siblings: Madilyn Grant of Sherrill, Marisa Grant, and Anna Grant of Monticello; nieces, Aleah Grant and Ember VanDee; maternal grandmother, Ann Osterkamp; paternal grandmother, Dennise Grant of Cascade; Aunts and uncles: Paul (Tonia) Osterkamp of Cedar Rapids, Roxanne Klostermann of Dyersville, Danny (Ann) Grant of Delhi, Julie (Paul) Oswald of Monticello, David (Annette) Grant of Cedar Rapids, Ann (Al) Brus of Dubuque, Trisia (Martin) Lahr of Coggon, and Diane (Greg) Miller of Walford.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa in 2016, maternal grandfather, Larry Osterkamp, Paternal grandfather, Emmett Grant; uncle, Don Klostermann; aunt, Cheryl Grant; and a cousin, Logan Grant.
