Loretta Felder

Loretta Felder age 74, of Guttenberg, IA, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008, at the Guttenberg Care Center. She was born the daughter of Dennis and Iva (Davis) Lamphier on November 29, 1933 in Dundee Iowa. Loretta received her education locally and later became a nurses aid for 15 years. She also spent 18 years working at Mercy Hospital in Dyersville as a substance abuse aid. On August 19, 1950 she was united in marriage with Lawrence Felder at St. Marys Catholic Church in Guttenberg. To this union they were blessed with 8 children. Loretta enjoyed flee marketing, playing bingo working in the garden on her flowers and knitting, where she made bandages for the Army. Survivors include: five daughters, Jeanne (Richard) Eilers of Guttenberg, Dianne (Dale) Duwe of Garnavillo, Debra (Gerald) Hayes of Siren, Wis. Denise (Warren) Jenson of Hayward Wis. Carol (Allen) Hoeger of Farley, IA; one son, Mark (Carol) Felder of Post Falls, Idaho; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Beverly Parker of Texas. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, husband; 2 sons, Michael and Christopher; one grandson, Charles Eilers and one brother Gilbert.Visitation: Saturday 9:00 - 10:00 A.M.
